Are Mommy Makeup Products Tested on Animals?
NO!!!! Never.
We are certified with PETA's "Beauty Without Bunnies" program as Cruelty-Free, and for many of our products, certified vegan.
There is simply no justification for animal testing.
Is Mommy Makeup comparable to other 'bare' mineral makeups on the market?
Mineral Powders are naturally oil-free, talc-free, and fragrance-free making them ideal for sensitive skins (and for women who find their skin going through hormonal changes).
They also give nice coverage but feel weightless on the skin.
However, many mineral powders on the market are loose powders, making them a MESS!

Are Mommy Makeup products hypo-allergenic?
The term “hypo-allergenic” can be misleading.
It does NOT mean that you will never have an allergic reaction to a product. In fact, your body chemistry changes daily and you can use a product or eat a certain food for years and then suddenly become allergic to it.
The correct terminology is ALLERGY-TESTED, which means the product has been tested for a likelihood of an allergic reaction occurring, a that occurrence is minimal (but it is still not a guarantee).
Do I have to be a Mom to wear Mommy Makeup?

Are Mommy Makeup Products Gluten-Free?
Most of our products are gluten-free, but we are not certified to declare a product "gluten free" -- but we can tell you what's in each product and whether certain ingredients are sourced from wheat or not.

Are Mommy Makeup products nonacnegenic and noncomodegenic?
Yes. Our pressed mineral powders are oil-free and talc-free, which are the core properties of a nonacnegenic product.
Our pressed mineral powders are also noncomodegenic and will NOT clog your pores.
Additionally all our mineral makeup products are paraben-free and fragrance-free (as well as talc and oil free) powders making them ideal for sensitive skins.
We even have some cosmetic surgeons who use our products on their patients!
I have acne. Will Mommy Makeup aggravate it more?
It should not. Mommy Makeup is nonacnegenic and noncomodegenic and should not aggravate your acne.
Makeup Tips - Eyes
I have had no luck with gel eyeliners due to my sensitive eyes.
Due to your sensitivity, we would suggest you look at the shades that are matte rather than the ones that have shimmer.

How should I remove the Lash Shield Waterproofing Top Coat?
We suggest using a quality oil-free eye makeup remover, such as Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover.
It is carried in most drugstores for about $6.00
What shade brow liner should a truly white silver haired women use?
The best shade would be a slate grey to match your coloring (which we don’t make) but you
may like our FAWN shade.

Does the eyebrow gel work and look fairly natural in the sparse brow areas?
Our Brow Tint works on the sparse areas too!
Use the tips of the comb and dab the Brow Tint on lightly. This will permit you to build the amount of color you desire.
Then once the Brow Tint dries, brush thru your brows lightly with a spool brush or a small brow brush.

What is the best way remove the Stay Put Gel Eyeliner?
It is best to remove Stay Put Waterproof Gel Eyeliner is with oil-free eye makeup remover.
There are two that we like:
- Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
- Almay Hypo-Allergenic Eye Makeup Remover Pads, Non Oily
We like the Neutrogena for home and the Almay pads for travel.
Please remember to clean your eyeliner brush with eye makeup remover and then rinse the brush with water.
I like to line my lower lashes. Will this smudge?
You can definitely use Stay Put Waterproof Gel Eyeliner on your lower lash line. Just be certain that it dries completely and that you clean your brush properly.

Can the Gel Eyeliners be used on the waterline? What colors are best for the waterline and what colors are not?
The best shades for the waterline are the matte shades (without shimmer or flecks).
The matte shades to consider would be

Do I have to use eye cream?
You don’t **HAVE** to do anything. But we find you will achieve the best makeup application when you apply eye cream (not gel) under your eyes (not on the lids) and a light weight facial moisturizer on your face.
Can I use my facial moisturizer around my eyes?
We do ***NOT*** recommend doing so.
The skin around your eyes is much thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of your face. Facial moisturizer is designed for the skin on your face (which is thicker than the skin around the eyes) and will not absorb the same way around the eyes as it does on the face. Additionally, because the skin around your eyes is thinner, it is often drier than the skin on your face and therefore requires a bit more moisture.
We find it best to use eye cream under your eyes and facial moisturizer on the face.
What is the best way to wear Stay Put Gel Eyeliner on my bottom lashline?
If you want to wear liner on your lower lash line, try using the remnants left over on the brush after applying it on the top lash line.
Do not re-dip the brush and apply to the lower lashes... just use the amount left over on the brush after applying it to the top lash line. Also be certain that you use the Pointed Eyeliner Brush and place it UNDER your lower lashes and THEN make little dashes and dash it on.
Also clean your brush with eye makeup remover after applying the liner (to both eyes). Then be certain the brush is completely DRY before applying again.
If there is any eye makeup remover still on your brush it can effect the wearability of the liner.

No, our products do not REQUIRE you to use a makeup primer...
BUT some customers like to use our Velvet Veil Smoothing Soothing Primer to increase wearability.
Also some clients like to use Velvet Veil Smoothing Soothing Primer to adapt our Mommy's Little Helper Concealer into an all over foundation.
Yet some customers do NOT use a primer and find that our products are still very long-wearing.

You do not need a special gloss over our Stay Put Matte Lip Cream - Kiss-Proof Matte Lipstick!
You can put any lipgloss over it if you CHOOSE to, but that is completely up to you.
